Not saying the venue is poor, but the dogs I saw there were unsupervised and escalated. Here is my 10 minute experience at this park: Dogs so escalated in play that many scuffles ensued, very young kids running around after the escalated dogs trying to play with them, and a few owners with intact males, one of which targeted any male or insecure dog in the park. I even saw a man training his dog to do bite work in the middle of the park, having the dog latch onto a ring toy and pick the dog up (by this toy that is in it's mouth) and swing it around. The last straw should have been when one of the children were knocked over and nipped at by a GSD. Instead, it was when the intact male corrected my dog for getting close to a toy he was guarding. My dog responded by coming back over to me, then the owner of this intact male came over to my dog and began HITTING her after she retreated over to her owner and his had already taken the toy and ran away... I am appalled.
Nice little park with water area for kids to play in summer. They have dog park as well for small and big dogs
Usually a very good dog park - owners are friendly and keep their dogs from going too crazy while allowing everyone to play and act like dogs. Well groomed lawn with plenty of toys lying about to keep everyone entertained. Can get crowded, especially during the typical peak hours - after work, Saturdays, etc. Not really walkable from anywhere but the parking lot is big.
I only use the dog park, but I love the renovations that add some shade for both humans and dogs! And the synthetic grass is much nicer than the previous sand that blew into our eyes. My one worry about the new renovations is that they leave blind spots, so if our dog(s) run around the other side of the middle sitting area, we don't have full visibility. But otherwise, a fantastic dog park!
Huge park with multiple playgrounds, tons of seating-covered and uncovered, picnic areas, plentiful parking, clean bathrooms, and two giant fenced-in dog parks. Plus there are jogging trails and the parks and a fruit and veggie garden for springtime. In the summer, there are water fountains for the kids to play in. Tons of open space for sports like football, soccer, and frisbee. Awesome!
