Large selection of goods. People up front are nice and helpful but the people at the gun counter needs lots of help with many things including giving service to non white customers. Happened to me the first and only time I've stopped by and happened to my son when he went with a friend, they asked his friend if he needed help and skipped over my son to the next customer. Keep in mind it only occurred at this particular store, the store in Gainesville/Chantilly is excellent.
I very recently ordered online for the first time with Cabela's for pick up at the Richmond store. The order was confirmed via email, processed on my credit card, and I was notified when to pick up. When I called before driving to the store, I was told the order was cancelled, "probably by the warehouse." I received no notification of this, I haven't received a refund of my money yet, and they no longer have the items I purchased. They wouldn't offer a rain check or equal product either. This was a Christmas gift.
Our first visit to a brick and mortar store. I was expecting more of a WOW factor to share with my grandchildren some day. Are there bigger/better ones than the one in VS? We accomplished everything we set out to do and spent more money than planned. Nice store but no entertainment.
Another great Cabela's Store with friendly staff and clean facilities! :-) We love that they are RV friendly with overnight parking and free dump stations! Short Pump is a great location!
I would not recommend them or their online store. I would recommend Bass Pro - excellent customer service.
Great option to Bass Pro, even though they own Cabela's now. Place is never really crowded, staff are quite friendly and helpful. Good selection of firearms and the "reserve" room with older and rarer pieces is rather neat. They're never out of stock with ammunition and have great prices on bulk ammunition. The discount cave can have some great finds.
