I don't know what's better, leaving reviews or reading reviews. It's great to see some positive ones, sad to see such terrible ones.
My experience with henrico County has not been good. They pulled my son after he got off of work on a school night from OCharlies and accused him of drinking. They put him through all of the tests exhausted from a full load in High School and two jobs and then gave him a breathalizer and it showed 0 so they let him go. WTH? He's 18, was coming from work and stopped at WaWa for Gas and had his waiter uniform on! Then I have called them for help with a tenant and that will NEVER happen again. The police are completely inept. I also am taking someone to court for lying under oath because the Magistrates are complete idiots! How they get anything done on the right side of the law is beyond me, right down to a know nothing in the clerks office at the window. "I don't know" should not be a standard answer for someone at the window there to supposedly help you. This girl lied her butt off and the complaint did not even contain a physical threat which is the only way they are supposed to written. She did it to keep me away from my own rental house so she could make it 8 months staying there without paying instead of 6! Then she had me arrested stating on the complaint that I broke the order while being served! If I had done that then they would have handled it!!! I hate Henrico!
Never skimp on a lawyer in this county get one thats well conected one that knows all the judges.
Social Service prefers a demographic outside that beware.
Mine is a positive review. The county as a whole is pretty good to live in, I can't say there is anything terrible that comes to mind. It's great being so central to the capital city, the beach, the US capital, and so many other attractions. The county is arbor weird shaped, so going from one side to the other is a hike, the county literally had East and West divisions.
Ive lived here almost all my life so I think I have a rounded view.
Do not take domestic court lightly, know your lawyer is a Tiger (criminal lawyer) and not simply a wild cat er.
They are verg aggressive with the law, if you get a ticket and go to court the officer will have a lawer to insure you are convicted. I always go to court because they are so overly jealous they cant make a case.
With that if you are hard working, respected and never break any laws plus you are a female its the best place on earth. If you are a male blue collar worker its only safe if you become a Henrico Police officer.

Henrico is an average county, all told. Parts are quite civilized, particularly the Ridge / Westham areas; however parts are beginning to resemble third-world countries. The demographic trends are troubling as well. But it must be admitted that this describes much of the country these days.
